Exquisite is Wan Xing’s original music piece written for Popcolours The Aesthetic of Hues in Antiquities exhibited at the HKMOA collection from 5th Nov 2021 to 7th Sep 2022. This music piece created an immersive experience for the audience as they travel through the fantastic journey of antiques from the Song to the Qing Dynasties. The origination: The transparent yet powerful sounds of bamboo wind chimes symbolized the cultural relics, bringing audience into the river of history. Just as a shining crystal brightening up the Victoria Harbour, in the beautiful yet delicate melody of Zheng, narrating the wisdom of humans throughout the decades. Let us immerse ourselves in this inspiring oriental music, crisscrossing the sound of the waves next door.
